ROSETTA International Roundtable: Reducing Food Waste Linked to Marketing Standards
3 June 2026 | 09:00–12:30 | Brussels
Main body:
The ROSETTA project invites policy and business stakeholders to join an international roundtable on reducing food waste linked to marketing standards.
The event will take place on 3 June 2026 at Business & Science Poland (BSP,Rue Belliard 40, 1040 Brussels), from 09:00 to 12:30.
Why this roundtable?
Marketing standards define what food products can be sold based on appearance, size and quality criteria. Products that don’t meet these standards are often wasted across the entire supply chain, even when they are perfectly safe and nutritious.
What can businesses and policymakers do about it?
ROSETTA has spent more than two years testing practical solutions across five European countries, covering meat, dairy, cereals and fruit&vegetables. From these pilot interventions, the consortium has developed evidence-based recommendations for business and policy action. The roundtable brings these recommendations to an international audience for discussion, validation and refinement before they are finalised.
