DESCRIPTION:1–3 June 2026 | Faro\, Portugal \nROSETTA highlights the 8th International ISEKI-Food Association Conference 2026\, titled “Innovation in Research and Education for the Transition to Sustainable Food Systems.” The event will take place in Faro\, Portugal\, bringing together researchers\, educators\, and EU-funded projects working towards sustainable food system transformation. \nThe conference provides the opportunity to organise special sessions dedicated to EU projects\, offering a platform to disseminate results\, present tools and methodologies\, share best practices\, and engage with an international academic and policy-oriented audience. Representation of projects working on food loss and waste (FLW) is particularly encouraged. \nIn addition to special sessions\, participants may submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations. SUMMARY:ROSETTA International Roundtable: Reducing Food Waste Linked to Marketing Standards
DESCRIPTION:3 June 2026 | 09:00–12:30 | Brussels \nThe ROSETTA project invites policy and business stakeholders to join an international roundtable on reducing food waste linked to marketing standards. \nThe event will take place on 3 June 2026 at Business & Science Poland (BSP\,Rue Belliard 40\, 1040 Brussels)\, from 09:00 to 12:30. \nWhy this roundtable? \nMarketing standards define what food products can be sold based on appearance\, size and quality criteria. Products that don’t meet these standards are often wasted across the entire supply chain\, even when they are perfectly safe and nutritious. \nWhat can businesses and policymakers do about it? \nROSETTA has spent more than two years testing practical solutions across five European countries\, covering meat\, dairy\, cereals and fruit&vegetables. From these pilot interventions\, the consortium has developed evidence-based recommendations for business and policy action.
